Hi. I tried posting this in the liquid section but I had no luck. I need someone to help me build a
custom case. The dimensions I want are (W H D) 8.3in, 22in, 18in. Right now, this is how I want the
case to look:

The case builder does not have to make the mesh grills or side windows. And no hard drive or
disk drive cages. All I need the person to do is to make an aluminum frame with the back area,
and front area as part of the frame.(not panels) For the front, I want it the same way it is seen
in the above pics, with three fan spaces, and of course the holes for mounting the fans. For panels,
I want the top and and side areas to be panels.(I know that may be a little confusing lol) As for
the psu bracket and the motherboard tray, I will purchase and send it to you. Also, the case
does not have to be painted.

I can't build it, but I am just wondering, why no exhausting fans?

There will be. Only one 120mm fan. The pics above are just basic outlines. It's not perfect.

Your best bet would be finding a small metal processing business near your area. Some of them do made to order industrial grade casings, so look for that in their business description.

Too bad I don't have one near me.

Have you considered using Protocase? Seems right up their alley.

Are you sure they can make me a computer case?

Do you know how to navigate a site ? :p:

http://www.protocase.com/products/ushape.php

look at that picture and tell me thats not a computer case...

here are some from their gallery:
http://www.protocase.com/about/showcase_big.php?value=racke&id=1&text=rack
http://www.protocase.com/about/showcase_big.php?value=zettabyte&id=1&text=ushape&client=Zettabyte%20Storage

If anybody has an idea of how much they cost to do a custom case, I wanna know.

Thanks for the heads up. I also want to know how much is costs.

You need to line up your intake with your cpu cooler and your exhaust directly for maximum cooling of the cpu. The latest trend is to have the cpu cooler going straight up with a big exhaust fan on top but the video card is in the way of intake, so to compensate there are large intakes in front throwing air under the cpu cooler. It might be easier to take the simple front to back cooling approach but design some air fins on the back of the case and slant them somewhat upwards so the hot exhaust goes up and out instead of just out and blasting onto your wall or back of desk area etc.

Before you do anything though, try to think outside the box for a while. Some people around here are running naked lol aka no case and getting some benefits from open air style:-)

That raven case with the mobo turned clockwise so all it's wires are on top... what if you turned the mobo counter clockwise instead and had all the wires on bottom and put the intake on bottom and exhaust on top but... inside a cylinder like case. Think warp core design:-) You could have some great lighting effects with that too.

Yes.

Prices vary tremendously depending on type and quantity of material, number of cutouts, number of bends, seams, etc. Send them your CAD drawing and they will provide a free quote.

I'm probably going to use three fans blowing out on the top panel and one fan blowing out on the rear panel. I don't think I have to worry about airflow because I'm going to watercool the computer.

What if I use an old server tower case? Like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/5-BAY-FULL-TOWER-ATX-AT-LPX-SERVER-PC-CASE-NEW-COMPUTER_W0QQitemZ350100070580QQcmdZViewItemQQptZL H_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item51839720b4&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Then modify it. My goal is to create a similar case to the one on mdpc: http://www.million-dollar-pc.com/systems-2009/special/lessdegrees/pius-giger.htm

Here was his original case:

Does anyone think its possible to modify that ebay case to make it similar to the mdpc one.

Having a fab shop build a custom case is quite expensive(40+ years in the industry). A complete case has a lot of individual parts that would have to be enigineered, shop drawings made, prototype parts and fitted together and any changes made to ill fitting parts. This process can take weeks if not months to get one good case. This is why prototyping and customs are so expensive. once a prototype is approved and a production run is done is where the price comes down.

It would be your best bet to buy a few simple tools and build it yourself, or modify an existing case to meet your needs.(Plus the bragging rights to "I built it!"). How ever you decide Good luck and have fun getting it built!
