CrossFireX Quick Question

I looked on ATI's Website, and on these forums, as well as google and wikipedia, but I can't find the answer to one CrossFireX question.

I know i can use cards from different manufactures, but can I use different series?
I want to upgrade my solution with something until the 58XX Series is out, can i add a 4850 to my 4870? or do have to stay with the 4870?

A 4850 will work with the 4870 but the end result will be like two 4850s in Crossfire.

September 10th is getting close, thats when the HD5xxx gets announced and will be released in the following weeks....ur 4870 is enough for now
