What waterblock (non-FC) do you use to cool X58?

I am interested in some options.

Have people modified the mounting of MCW-30?

I mounted an mcw30 on my rampage II gene. I love the IOblock because you can keep the heatpipe coming from the vrm's.

I don't think that the MCW30 fits without that mid-plate (IOBlock?) though? I thought that standard MCW 30 mounting kit was not long enough to reach the holes of X58.

Thanks :) So you have removed the heatpipe assembly off of X58?

Yeah you leave the IOblock on but you take the little heatsink off. Works like a charm with the standard bolts alltho not in a perfect 90° angle, but that won't stop anyone :p
