Does waterfalling actually help in reducing the temperature of the fluid in your loop?

like bong cooling?

I guess...
oops, logged on with the wrong account :) was my old one, heh.
anyway...
if you did integrate active airflow over the waterfalling would it work?

it would only help in an open loop, so for liquid cooling it wont make a difference
ah ok, it was just curiosity more then anything :)

Without evaporation? In a sealed system? Nope. Perhaps it might promote a tiny little bit of conduction, but then again not much of that going to happen in an acrylic res.

I think if you were to feel the res after the loop was under heavy load for a while, it would definitely feel warmer than ambient, so some heat is being radiated. It wouldn't be anything notable, or easily measurable.
