What the difference between
INTEL SSDSA2MH080G2R5 X25M 80GB
and
INTEL SSDSA2MH080G2C1 X25M 80GB
I can see the R5 get a box but besides that?

Mwave tech support told me that the C1 is a newer drive with newer firmware, its that true?

No, they wouldn't be selling the drive with the older Firmware, as I believe Intel recalled them all. It just has to do with the bracket to make the drive the same height as a typical 2.5" drive.

The R5 is the retail one that with the retail box and bracket, they are the same price but I guess we can always update the firmware anyway, I don't see a reason why they still shipped with old firmware either.
