Oh dear, so I noticed this when I was looking at the rads:

Is that blemish/bump on the corner of the endtank corrosion from the inside or is it something else?

I've not noticed it before, but then again it is small.

When I was doing my vinegar flushes (4.5% acidity) I never left it in for more than 1 hour and that was only one time and I did so much water flushing afterwards. All the other times I left it for 30-45 mins. I didn't notice any green coppery colour to the vinegar but I was getting little flakes of black every now and then. I've heard that these black flakes are common though....or am I mistaken?

I'm very concerned by this :(

Have u tried poking it with a nail or something? The metal is pretty thick so guess its just a paint bubble. The end tanks are brass arnt they?

The end tanks are brass I think.

How do paint bubbles form? It seems pretty hard this thing and I don't want to start scratching it in case it breaks it.

Hmm, I took some of the paint away just to be sure and I don't know what it is. Maybe a blob of solder - it's like a silvery soldery colour :P? What does everyone think?

Its solder imo.

When they are putting a rad together (i.e. soldering it) all the parts get very hot and the solder tends to "pour" all over the place.

I wouldnt worry.

Edit: and to answer your question: there is no way that 40 mins of vinegar bathing dissolved through that brass. im not quite sure but i think it would take months of continous flushing.

Internal corrosion wouldn't produce any kind of bumps, it's probably a blob of some nature.

Hehehehe reminds me of an episode in men behaving badly when he sniffs and then licks his girlfriends recently removed appendix:rofl:

I don't think it's corroded after that small amount of time with vinegar :)
