here you can see the monsta inside HAF 932

3X140mm fans + 3X120mm fans in push/pull mode , it's the best way?

what is the different (in degrees) between the monsta and TFC 480/360 in the same room temp , same computer and water cooling componnent???

thanks

Simple answer: no

However you CAN get two 120.3 radiators into an ATCS 840. The first one in the top and the second one behind the drive cages. No mods required to do this either. You'll need slim radiators if you want to do push-pull.

and what about the new case from corsair? (800d)

From looking at the pics of the 800D. not sure if you would be able to fit it in the top mounting area since I'm not sure it would clear the motherboard with the fans attached.

I have MONSTA and this thing is huge... fitting it into any standard case would take some work or modding.

I'm looking to fit it into a lower compartment of my black pearl and i've seen others fit it in Lian Li v2000 cases which is basically almost the same case.

Well, according to the Andrea-V-7.01-2009.xls spreadsheet (do a search to find it), they'll produce these cpu temperatures on my machine under a 260 watt load at 26C ambient:

Swiftech MCR-320: 61.22 C
Feser X-Changer 480: 60.07 C
Feser TFC Monsta 360/420 (MLL) 60.47 C

Um, so at most 1C better? At least with my CPU only configuration. I probably just don't have enough heat to dissipate. All overkill for me I guess. I have the MCR-320. The above numbers are for comparison purposes only and should be treated as relative to one another. Whenever I do real world load testing I use OCCT.

BTW, that spreadsheet has successfully predicted temperatures on my machine within 1C of actual real world readings. Not too shabby.

i have a monsta with 5x140mm yl med and 1x120mm fans, cooling an x3 720 and 2x4770, ambient is 29c, cpu idle 30c, gpu idle 30c, cpu load at 4ghz 3dmark06 cpu test 43c, gpu load 34c (not so sure but max was around this)

With your ambient at 29c, what is your water temperature such that you can have your cpu cores idle temperatures be just one degree over ambient at 30c?

I can see a water temperature at or even just above ambient, but usually the CPU core idle temperatures will be higher than the water temperature. So what's your water temperature?

What is your CPU?

What thermal paste are you using? What frequency and vcore is your CPU idling at?

Yes I know idle temperatures aren't particularly important, but the temperatures you noted seem a bit, ah, optimistic to me.

What sort of load and then idle temperatures do you get during and after at least a full one hour full load CPU run with OCCT?

If you have a Kill-A-Watt, please do tell the wattage reading you're getting under idle and again at load.

i wasn't sure about the ambient temps, 29c is roughly what evening temps are here in singapore but i didn't measure, maybe it was 27c don't know it was just a guesstimate
30c is on a phenom ii x3 720 at 3.7 1.36v and when clocked at 4ghz with 1.48v it idles at 33~34c. my total system doesn't produce that much heat that's why
