Recently, when I was messing with my water loop, I accidentally got TIM on the pins of the processor and trying to get it off, I bent some pins.
I straightened the pins and and put it back in the motherboard. Now it won't boot.
I took it out again and looked and saw some grease still on the pins.
Is there a way to safely remove the grease?

No, it was a phenom ii 720. Why's it dead?

EDIT:
Wait, I know why. It's conductive. I used a silver-based TIM.

I'd say try some CRC contact cleaner (or something similar that is safe for plastics and leaves no residue.) I'd tape off the top of the cpu and leave just the pins exposed. You may want to attempt cleaning the socket as well. EDIT: Obviously try Articlean 1 and 2 if you haven't yet.

I've bent pins before and was able to get the CPU seated properly anyway.

a 975 has no cpu pins as its an LGA. if u get some rubbing alcohol and a vary soft brush it should be able to be cleaned. next time get mx-2
