Rebooted PC and 260 came up in Precision at 82c. Ran fan up to 100% and it barely came down. WU it was on had been running for hours with 58c heat. Restarted Precision and no change. Stopped WU and it came down in the 60s. Restarted and back to 80c. Rebooted again and now back to 55c with fan at 80%.

My new tagline is going to be:

I dunno nuthin'

weirdness again i got two work units both similar and it caused both card to throttle down at the same time gpu1 is a 260 gpu2 is a 250 never seen that happen before,:shrug:its kinda of like revisiting the twilight zone again, im hoping this will be the end of those kind of work units.:shakes:sorry its the heat that caused the problem

I tired OCing my 260 and when the driver re-set the card was stuck in low power mode. 400/799. Nothing would bring it back up but a cold reboot. Not just GPUGrid but LOTRO as well.

curious is that with those those flipping happy 190.xx drivers poppa that's not normal to have a card get stuck like that.
