Well just finished upgrading my brothers computer :)
Still planning to add there more ram but that have to wait...

Old rig:
X2 3600+ @ 2.9GHz, M2N32-SLI DLX, 7600GT, Antec Smartpower 2.0 500W
New:
C2D 6420 @ 2.8GHz, EP45-DS4 ES, HD2900 with accelero extreme, BQT Straight power 500W.

Then i updated from OLD XP installment to Win7 x64 :D

One thing happened during upgrade, installed new parts (not PSU yet), plugs power cord -> ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ, puts computer on well it just goes little queter that's all... So i pull out the Antec Smart-My-Ass-Power and replace it with BQT, works like charm :)

That's a nice upgrade. Why no Wolfdale, though?

Why not a quad? :p:

And most importantly: Is it crunching?

RAM will make a huuuge difference to performance. I honestly think 4 Gb is the real sweet-spot for RAM, and for a primary use PC, I really consider it to be the recommended, as I've noticed huge differences in performance going from 2 Gb to 4 Gb (even on a 32-bit OS).

For CPU same answer as above.

Yea planning to put it crunching but it will not crunch 24/7.

Need to get some decent 2x2GB kit, i tried 4x1GB but no post :(
