Can't believe how messy it was, my sapphire 4870 with the same cooler was much better.

With AS5 the temperatures are alot better now, 60 degrees max with furmark :)

I have the toxic version of the 4870, I guess I need to take a look. BTW are the thermal pads reusable?? Is it easy to remove and reset it back??

Yikes, that's a worst case scenario cake-job. Thank goodness you got to it and cleaned it up. :)

If you haven't removed the stock heatsink more than a few times, the thermal pads should be just fine upon reapplication. Just make sure your hands are clean when working with the heatsink...
