gpugrid will only run in boinc screensaver. is there any way to fix this?:shrug:

and when your screen saver is turned off it wont work at all. just need to understand the problem better:confused:

I'm guessing when you installed it you checked off the screen saver check box during install. I usually uncheck it. not sure what the fix is after it's that way, but uninstalling and reinstalling unchecking that option along with unchecking protected mode will fix it.

not sure; I originally set to run screensaver, but I shut it off and I can still run gpugrid with no problems.

Check your GPUGrid preferences on the site. There is an option there that might fix it.

there is an option in boinc preferences specifically for running the gpu while in use. at leat in the boinc version 6.6.36
