2x GTX280 in SLI with a PCI video card in between

Like the title says, I am wanting to go with 3 monitors. The primary monitor, on the SLI'd 280's. Then, I wan to run the 2 secondary monitors on the PCI card that is in between the 2 GTX280's.

Anyone done this? Does it work? Will SLI work? Heat issues?

I did that back when I had 2 x 8800gts G92s. Only thing is I tried with a Nvidia made card and it wouldn't work since they all use the same driver. I had to buy a Radeon and fiddle with installing/reinstalling drivers to get it to work.

I dont think Heat will be your issue, maybe driver issues.
