Which of these 2 TIM's are the better one?
I am using a swiftech apogee GTZ on a core i7920.
Thanks for the help.

I use the AS5, works great. :) Haven't compared them though.

None.
MX3 :D

both of them won't make a difference in temps... a good mount is way more important.

I think MX-2 was found the be the better. At least it has little to no "set-in" time, while AS5 takes about a week to reach max potential.

I have both and like both. I like MX2 a little better because I know AS5 is conductive.

I tried to argue that it was conductive before and I lost haha, its capacitive not conductive ;)
and the biggest reason to use mx2 is that it is of thinner consistency and is always simple to get a good mount.

Yeah that's what I meant to say but the hamster fell asleep in the wheel so I went with 'conductive' and hoped for the best!

The perils of computer harware and xtremesystems addiction - I see them every day :D
me, I am suffering the perils of trying to drill through half inch granite with a 3/4" mason's bit and no ear protection @ 1mm/hr

Offbeat: I tried one of the "diamond paste" TIMs. Pretty sure I need to reseat my block now--it was too thick and probably didn't spread as I expected.

I used to swear by as5, then switched over to mx2. Didnt even know mx3 existed til now. Oh well i still have a full tube of mx2 to use up first.
