The forumdeluxx link says that there is an option for black or white? Will the block also be nickle-plated?

I will see probably a problem with mounting block for the CPU..... see on the picture. Mounting hole CPU block is to close to the block on motherboard

"clasp" from GTZ seems to me that for sure grip on the block for EVGA LE.

http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/1958/img27535z7n.jpg

I could not see even the block mounted on this mobo & CPU.....
Eddy can You show photo mounted with the block LE/CPU? ;)

Eddy can show photo mounted with the block LE/CPU ;)?I think it's a matter of perspective. That photo was taken from a short distance, head height downward, which makes it look like the mounting hole is obstructed.

Hi!
I am glad you like it.
Both versions will be nickel-plated.
And we will also make option for white acetal version.
To see how you will like it.

The mounting hole for CPU is little close only because ther percpective, angle of taken picture.

As soon as we will have white acetal top made will give you some pictures.

Eddy, Would you ever consider making this full cover block (and others) without the motherboard model name on the top?

Before I go any further, let me say that I love your products. EK make some sexy looking blocks that are actually top performers. However, when I was looking at some MIPS blocks today I thought 'these look so streamlined and sleek'. The thing I love about their look is the uniform appearance of the water block covers.

Here is an example of what I mean. http://www.murderbox.com/uploads/DSC_1909.jpg

I like the "EK" logo and reckon it wouldn't at all look out of place on your products (in fact I tend to be a brand name junkie so I think the EK logo should stay). It's just the motherboard and product model names that I am not too keen on.

Am I alone on this one or do others agree?

You talking about only the NB&SB combo waterblock, am I right mate?

I am thinking to buy a NB&SB combo waterblock for my Rampage Extreme X48 soon. Because I used the Universal waterblock on my NB&SB before and I could not satisfied much at that time.

Nowadays, people can get better cooling results with combo waterblocks. Because they are more efficient to overclockers anyway.

Cheers,
Arthur

I would buy one without the name on it. I love the minimal designs.

Practical reasons why not to do it:
- The Name at the bottom part of the block is pointless. It will be covered by my full size videocard(s).
- The top name will be more visible, but probably still covered by tubing running from either the block or CPU to my videocards or down towards a pump/reservoir.

I think that block to NB/SB and separate block to mosfets will look better than one full cover. Is the shape of full cover already fixed?

Fullcover single block layout is THE thing making it this special (next to its appearance of course ;) ).

HESmelaugh

concerning e2ek's post:
I can imagine that a block with less engravings would look good. Maybe have a thin line along the border like on the Classified block, but ditch the mainboard name and logos. That might make for a very clean, elegant but still unique looking block. :)

alejo

EXACTLY! The cool thing about this and the Classified block is that it's a one shot deal and less tubing mess and problems. Eddy, please keep it mosfet and NB/SB all included, not seperate.

Both you are right but in my opinion less tubing look poorly. I like extended arrangements with many tubings.

Of course it's only my opinion :)

Full cover is most definitiely the way to go for exactly these reasons.

Good to see someone else agree with me :D  I like your idea about the thin line. It will give the cover subtle accentuation.

I don't mind the motherboard name on the block, since they only fit on that board anyway. it would be nice to have the OPTION of one without the logo though for those who do not like it.

My suggestion, though, is to make the top on the full-board blocks about 1mm thinner so you don't have to struggle clicking your PCI-E x16 cards in place.

Will the "3" be changed into "III" for the retail version? (I would like that better)

I was wondering if this new block for the X58 LE from EVGA would also work on the original tri-SLI x58 board from EVGA. A full cover block would be worth shelling out extra for, and it looks very close.
