Good morning,

Most pleased with the acards on ich10r. Still struggling to get the acards to work under the Areca 1680ix-12(2GB).

Test system is i7 965 on Gigabyte extreme mobo, 3x1GB G. Skill 2000/C9, 2xGTX295 Quad SLI (koolance blocks), cpu and vc's water cooled via 2xBoreas all in series. Boot drive via mtron 16GB and non-ich10r controller (on the mobo), Acard array standalone on the ich10r (exception - the acard is the boot array on ich10r for PCMark05)

Clocks - cpu @ 4.48 (35x128) ht off, memory @ 1792 (99924), pcie @101

Memory used in the Acard's - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 Dual Channel Kit Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBNT - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231207

Dam thats fast. I don't think NAND based SSDs will ever catch up to this thing.

Thanks, about ready to give up on the 1680ix, the controller just can't maintain the connection to the drives.:shakes:

Yeh that's pretty dam fast, I think sata 2 latency is holding it back from being even more great compared to sata 3 or PCIe.
I think sata 3/PCIe may help future SSD's get close the the Acard sata 2 speed.
