Hi there.

Im having a big problem with a newly purchased MX440-8X card. I am getting very low fps and 3dmarks (2001). My old MX440 tests were of the order of 8500+, whereas my new card is only giving me 3300 or so. I have tried 29.40, 29.42 and then every det driver from 40.52 up to 55.33 with no success. Ive also tried NF2 drivers 2.0, 2.03, 2.42, 2.45 and 3.13 all giving roughly the same results. Ive got DX9 on and all 3 features enabled, directdraw and direct3d tests within dxdiag run no problem. Ive tried all AGP frequencies from 66 to 99 (which it runs np ;)) with no real improvement. The card is watercooled, and ive checked both contact and rear core temp (38c after 10 loops of 3d 01) and both are good. Ive got no shared IRQs and am not running any pci cards at all.

Im left wondering whether its a VGA bios issue or if I just have a faulty card.

System :

1700+ @ 2.535ghz
NF7-S rev 2.0 @ 219mhz x 11.5
BH5 @ 2/11/2/2 mem timings
SATA disabled
IEEE1394 disabled
Soundstorm enabled
Lan enabled
USB 1.1 + 2.0 enabled, all ports.

Current drivers + OS :
Win 2003 (Troubleshooting slider set to full acceleration and write cache enabled, dxdiag run and full D3D texture acceleration enabled)
DX 9.0
NF 2.45 WHQL
Det 42.51

Stability is not an issue as Prime has been run for 36 hours at this speed, and memtest tests clear looping test 8 for 8 hours.

Any help or advice appreciated :).

Cheers,

PiLsY.
