I currently own a 50 person ventrillo server that I used to use for WoW
(I've quit a few months back) and I've decided to see if you guys want to use it to chat.

In case someone is unsure how to use Ventrillo I wrote a small guide:

1) Download Ventrillo: http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php
-Install it.

2) Create a User Name.
- Do so by clicking the "->" button beside the User Name box.
--Click on "New."
---Enter your desired user name, preferably the one you use on this forum.

3) Now you have to set up the server information.
-Click on the "->" button beside the server box.
--Click on "New".
--- Enter what you want to call the server and press OK.
----Now enter the following information:
Hostname or IP: platinum.typefrag.com
Port Number: 47633
Password: xtremecrunching

Press OK.
Click setup and make sure everything is set right (namely make sure the output is set to your headphones and your input is set to you mic.) Also you can change the key you press to talk.

Now you should be ready! Click connect. :up:

This server is paid for up until Oct 17, 09. After that we'll have to see if my pockets have enough for another $144/12mo. :D That is if anyone even uses it.

PS: I'll take any advice on channels. Adding/Deleing and Channel structure.

PS: You could talk to MULTIPLE people at ONE TIME and NOT run their cell batteries down! :D

Yep, 200 digits per minute will jam the server and connections around it :rofl:
Btw i'm at vent atm, so silent there :|

It seems that you're the only one brave enough to sign on. I'd sign in but I only get to sit down for a very short time atm.... busy.

im not a super big fan of vent, i prefer ts, but im in the channel aswell.

so thats why the downtime took so long when doing upgrades and why the email server has been dead for how long?

Server is offline I think, can't connect. :(

EDIT: Yeah was just my client playing up. Am on now. :D

We'd have to get him to log on first :p:. It appears he prefers the rotary phone over this new-fangled ventrilo stuff :).
