Figured yall could use this... and I dont see a motherboard forum at XS.. you can move this where ever. I just figured I'd post it for some of my fellow crunchers. it's an easy way I've been using for a long time. I was making a cd for Dak this orning and had to package some instructions, so it was a good time to post it.
I've been using this little tool to make bootable bios flashing cd's for ages.
small easy and effective...
2MB download http://www.scootplace.net/fah/bootcd.zip
and extract to C:
these instructions are in the C:\bootcd folder, but here's a copy..
-copy folder "bootcd" to C:
-put your bios files (or any files you want to appear when the finished cd is booted) in C:\bootcd\cds\cdromsi\files
-put a blank cdr in your cd burner.
-open a command prompt and CD to C:\Bootcd in the command window.
-at C:\bootcd type "bcd cdromsi"
-follow the prompts to finish burning the cd.
-this creates a bootable win95/98 dos cd with the files you copied to C:\bootcd\cds\cdromsi\files at the root of the cd.
-boot to this cd and flash your bios (the bios files will be at the root of the burned cd).
