just spot them in their own forum today :)

And if they only would sell it nickelplated with SLI-connectors - it would be so nice to see it beside my nickelplated HK 3.0 :D

Lol first manufacturer to just say, "To hell with it, it's the same design".

if they have the connectors, that would be perfection

You can buy the connectors.

The connectors are no problem, they are already sold as spareparts. But they should include it in the standard package :D

what if you only want one?

 Do not understand your question ...
The adapter is sold separately and could be exchanged with 2 screws ....
With it you have not only the standard two connectors to one side, but 4 connectors (2 on each side like e. g. EK)

I think he assumed it was to the dual link and tri link connectors.

oh man, it is sexy but I think I still like the look of the EK Nickel/Acrylic combo better.

while I like the whole expandability thing they've got going on with their FC blocks - that thing is really ugly.

No heat killer products look nice. Eh, it's not like I care anyway, so long as it performs well I'll like it. :D

Funny thing personal taste. To my eyes this and their 200/285 models are the best looking gpu blocks I've seen. So much so that for the the past couple of weeks I've been locked in the cycle: 'But I don't need a new gpu. But if I buy a 285 I'll be able to fit a Gpu-x˛'. Ahhh.

As much as I think about it, I can't see the point of designing FC blocks like that (and I include EK).

Seriously, what kind of cooling can a detached metal plate provide to VRM?
They could as well provide a separated heatsink, it would be better anyway.

I like their approach to GPU cooling, with a way more efficient GPU section, but VRMs require decent cooling too: their temperature can be just as crucial as the GPU's itself on some cards.

But this is due for almost any fullcover. Have a look at the EKs with screwed alu-block for 4870. With the 4890 Eddy changed his mind and did use 1 bottomplate for all ... like Watercool ;)

Metal conducts heat. Simple =D. You are asking for a more complex design = more dollars.

and sometimes more uglyness:

I´ve had this cooler for HD4870 a couple of weeks ago. "Active" watercooling of the mosfets, wonderful mosfet-temps. But it is simply looking awful.

Koolance, and Swiftech pretty much did the same thing.

I really like the look of their blocks, but they wouldn't match my theme

Not a good reason to make under-performing coolers.

Try thinking as a customer who wants the best performance possible, instead of as a producer who wants to make as much money as possible.
Eddy's earlier approach was even worse than watercool's.

Yeah. That's why they use solid copper cylinders instead of heatpipes.
That "more complex design" would equal to 5 more dollars tops on production line.

I, as well as a lot of other people, care more about performance than looks.
Just like everything else, there could be a "blingy" solution as well as a more performing one, giving customers the choice.
