Hello all, my first post, although I have been lurking around for months! In light of what Snipe discovered with his Fezer 1 problem, I was looking at ways to get my EK resevoirs to glow while using distilled water. Has anyone painted thier res with Clearneon II Invisible UV Spray Paint? Seems like that might be my solution. Sure would like to hear from anyone that has tried it. This is a great community, I have learned so much by reading and pouring over all of the knowledge stored up in here!:up::up:

Well, I have used clearneon uv paint and I have two observations about it.
1) unless you use an exorbitant amount the stuff, it is uneven and patchy
2) it is very powdery once applied, I would think it would definitely not work on the inside but if you worked at it you could apply it to the outside.

Thanks Snipe for the info....I am just trying to come up with ideas to keep the uv going in the res...I have 2 bottles of Fezer 1 Acid Green sitting here that I am afraid to use now!

I've been thinking about this for ages. Paint is a no go. I was thinking of tinted acrylic tubes but it seems no one wants to make their res in 4 colours [increased costs as you must have a supply of each colour]. They may not fluoresce under uv anywhere near as nice as uv reactive dye but it would look pretty good in my opinion and would allow you to see your water level.

ie, material like this.

Yeah, I know. The thing is its not like this feser problem is super widespread, its just one of my 2 loops that did it... if your worried I would just dilute the feser 3:1 (feser:distilled) and take a glance at it once and a while. I didn't have a catastrophic failure so its always reparable.

Yeah I just went for that instead. It looks nicer anyway :D

Yes it does, I would rather hang it on my wall than mount it in my case though :D I've been debating about doing that, wiring the light to a transformer so I can plug it into the wall, filling it up and hanging it up as wall art ;)

I might just have to think more about

Heard they around $100, but PM Frozen to be certain. Frozen hand makes those things one at a time. :yepp:

The pic displayed is not the inverse t virus res, rather the standard [temp discontinued] t virus res. The inverse has the liquid in the cylinder and solid acrylic tubes whereas the regular t virus res has fluid in the hollow cylinders and it travels through the double helix to the top where there is a small res.

110 for the res.
+ 5 for res holders
+ 5 for fillport

Order form somewhere in that thread.

Thanks for the help MomijiTMO. I did see that Frozen.Q had changed up the design. Do you know if he makes these in any size you need? I am wanting to use 250-300 ml.

I'm pretty sure he could make you a special one but that would probably cost more. He said the res holds around 220mL.

Thanks, I saw that when I went back over the post again. Hopefully he will PM me tomorrow. Do you have a pic of yours?

Nope, he has had some issues getting supplies [sent wrong stuff] and has around 30 to make. So there is a delay.

His supplier still hasn't gotten that fixed yet? Man that really sucks. :shakes:

It's all good now. There is a waiting list if time is important to you.

No, I'm not worried about that, I just think it sucks for Frozen that his supplier hasn't been able to fix that problem yet. I thought its been a couple of weeks.

He going to be one busy person when it finally gets sorted out

Edges of blades glow green due to uv cathodes inside the plasma weapons. The acrylic tubing is awesome to work with. I sent some to Cyber.

I can make you a custom T-virus reservoir or just a normal reservoir with the aluminum ends with the UV green acrylic. They have 2" OD tubing like that from Tap Plastics.

That's the biggest problem with fluorescent acrylic (aside from there being no true fluorescent red), only the edges glow nicely. The rest of it looks like crap which screwed me over for a theme case I'm working on. Eventually had to settle for standard colored acrylic.

...and yeah, that clearneon paint doesn't work on acrylic too well, tried it as a last resort. If you have a real light beige color surface, you'll never notice it though. Make sure to paint in the dark with a black light to see what your doing. ;)

I am seriously considering 2 of these Q...I sent you another PM with some more questions:yepp:
