Hey!

Can anyone recommend me a 5.1 speaker system for my Auzen Forte Sound card. I'm keen to spend around $450 AUD.

Logitech z-5500 is good choice if you just want some regular pc speakers around that price level. I quite happy with mine, a large improvent over my old sound system.
But you will most like get better sound buying a good hifi surround system instead.

it depends on what you use them for.
will you be using it mostly for games, movies, or music?

if games then go with the logitech, if music then go for something that sounds better.

I am running this setup up now Forte and the M-Audio AV-40s and it sound really clean and crisp. But if you like a like bass then add a sub later.. I am very happy with this setup.. I play music and BluRay movies on my 30" monitor and for only a 2.0 setup it sounds like I have a 5 speaker setup..

You can tell that even though we now have a "Home Theater and Audiophile" forum, that this is a computer place and not an audio place. Otherwise you wouldn't have people asking about systems for a forte, and no one would be recommending anything with the name Logitech in it.

The M-Audio AV40s are pretty nice.
