haha, me too. I will probably be the first person in line camping at the AT&T store. Multitasking with the iPhone makes me drool. Currently that is my biggest complaint about iPhone 3G. Also the new processor speed makes me slobber. Internet browsing will be much faster since the processor will be able to keep up with the 3G download speeds. Also program load/close times will be increased which is another big complaint on my end. NE wayz i cant wait till July 17th so i can get a the new iPhone!

I currently use the Apple Iphone 3g and the Sony Xperia X1a intermittently...when i get bored of one I switch to the other...the Sony is by far the more feature rich phone and probably geared more towards the pro user. Even with all that, I still can't stop going back to the Iphone because of how damn easy it is to use...everything is so streamlined and easy to use that I just have a more fun and easy time with it. I think that alone is probably the one biggest reason people love it so much. Everything just works and works very well. I hope that will be the case with the new one and if it is, I guess I'll stick with AT&T for a while longer.

iphone 3gs, is what the new one is called (supposedly).

not sure what you mean by iphone 4g since it is the third version of the iphone and will still be running on the 3g network. LTE or 4G will not debut till 2010 with AT&T.

But maybe i just missing your joke.

I hear the 5th gen iPhone will have an nVidia ION CPU and will be called the iPhone FTW edition.

I will not be getting the 3GS. Not much difference to warrant buying a new one over the 3G. I will wait for next year. I feel Apple could have done much better with this iPhone this time around. At least something new with the overall look.

I guess it all depends if AT&T decides to screw their loyal customers...

The rumour is that Existing 3G owners have not owned their phones long enough (none have since it has not been a full year since the release of the 3G) to qualify for the $199/$299 pricing, so they will have to pay full price for the 3G-S ($699) because AT&T is a bunch of money grubbing whores (hence, the reason they are not allowing MMS or Tethering on their network with the 3.0 release).

If AT&T decides to screw their customers, I will stick with my 3G, and possibly start looking at moving to a different carrier, with a different phone. If they allow their 3G customers to buy the 3G-S at the financed pricing, I will consider buying it.

I ordered a 3G S since I absolutely hate my black jack II, along with windows mobile phones in general. I got the largest discount possible, so it seemed worth it.

It's finally time for me to get an upgrade from my original iPhone and I'm glad I held off until after WWDC and now I'll be getting the 3g S :) I'll be getting it for $200 so that's not bad at all.
