I thought that only guys making the new 285 GTX so far have been Evga and Zotac.

I've read the same thing--it's going to be the new layout and will matriculate through all the vendors eventually.

Could be wrong, but cost-wise, it makes sense for them all to follow suit.

EDIT: From looking at the underside pics, it looks like it eliminates the block area around the giant capacitor now found in the upper left-hand corner of the new layout. I've yet to compare screw holes, but I'm curious what Eddy has to say.

EDIT 2: Upon further reading, PALIT and GAINWARD are PCB manufacturers. Potentially one produced the old generation and one produced the new?

Yes, we are working on new rev.2 PCB, should be out middle of next week or so. Latest end of the week. The 275 PCB version will be out little later.

How can we tell if its the new or old version?

I just purchased a GAINWARD GTX285 today.

Im assuming it will be old version so I can safely purchase this:
