OK, I'm boiling over at this point so bear with me pls. I have been building my system up again on my new mobo, and have come across a deal-breaking glitch.

- MSI 790FX-GD70 (http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/7222/mgd7003qf6.jpg)
- EKFC3870 (http://ekwaterblocks.com/shop/images/FC3870-Acetal.jpg) x 3 (Full Coverage 3870 blocks)
- Koolance Dual-Vid Connect Nozzles (http://www.koolance.com/water-cooling/images/more/cnt-vd2_p0.jpg) (single slot spacing)

To my absolute horror, I am just in the final stages of assembly, and the damn thing doesn't fit!! The Koolance Nozzles are too long, so the video cards don't fit in the slots. I had assumed that these things are designed to a certain spec, and that the fitment was more or less guaranteed. Theoretically a single slot spacing fitting should span properly across a single slot, but they are at about 1/4" too long. The Koolance fittings are 29mm long, I need something closer to 25mm. I guess koolance makes the fittings to work with their own blocks, and the EK blocks are just much thicker, especially the acetal tops.

I really have no other option with this setup, because even the 'stubby' barbs are too long even when they are touching each other.

Help! What now?

ok so I found the TFC ones at frozencpu.com

They claim to be adjustable from 18-30mm, but stupidly they come in a set of 3 different lengths even though obviously every user will be throwing 2 of them away :shakes:

They don't look nearly as nice as the koolance ones - has anyone used them? How on earth do they not leak?

Those work via 1 or 2 internal o-rings on the threaded ends.

That is the point where I always run to Home Depot to desperately find some kind of solution.

Ok the TFC ones seem to be the same as the Danger-Den ones, they are identical, so I will assume they are trustable and order up 4 sets.

What a let-down, I was all set to fire up today and now its going to take another eternity. grrrr!

I guess there's no point to this post other than venting, but, thanks for that. I've found the DD fittings locally so it should only be a few days wait.

Yes it is. Sorry for that, left the camera at work.

this is the setup I'm replacing. The DFI mobo definitely has an easier slot spacing to work with, but its nowhere as mature as the MSI. My new case is much bigger, has both rads inside, and has some other new goodies I don't want to show yet ;)

Koolance Dual-Vid Connect Nozzles are design to go with koolance waterblock, koolance GPU waterblock are thinner than EK so it won't fit.
