For 2k1 you want 44.03 .

4403 is for FX cards.

if you can, try the 4201, 4251 and 4097...

I think the 4097 is meant for the GF3 series.

I like the 41.09 Det's. They have been really stable for me. I know there a bit old but ohwell. I myself would be open to to trying a new set of det's. Im almost at 15,000 and could use a little push.

Hm are the earlier ones really faster? I tried them once but my card wasn't recognized :D.

Never tried on the 4400 either.

haha, well seems you have the 5900 just like me, so I wish I had a better answer for you, but the 4403 is the best driver for our cards, but I'd sure like to find a way to get the older drivers to work on my 5900 too.
maybe then I could break 24k with my card ;)

I really like the 42.86 for geforce3 and geforce4 cards.
Kunaak is definetly right with the 44.03 for the fx cards....they must have nvidias best cheats in them ;)

Yea pretty much now all scores in earlier 3dmark version
are meaningless cause of nvidias cheats for higher score.
But u can always subtract 5-10% from your score ;)

Kunaak

subtract?
whats that?

43.45 All the way for me :)

53.06 are slightly faster than 53.03, and better visuals than any 52.xx or earlier. I used to run the Omega drivers, and the 53.06 are faster than the latest 4x.xx Omega drivers. Maybe that's why there are no new 5x.xx Omega drivers..............

I run 179.2 Flyby / 78.3 FPS Botmatch with a TI-4200 128mb, on a KT266a board, in the UT2003, 1024 x 768 benchmark with the 53.06 drivers.

;)

I'm sticking with the 53.03's as in my experience, they're the quickest of all the 5x.xx drivers

I know alot of people use Riva Tuner 14.3 and I hear people talking about switching between 2d and 3d mode but there is no option for it in there or in the nvidia's display properties. What versions of this software and driver do I have to be running.

Detonators 45.28 definitively rules for me:
http://trodas.wz.cz/show.php?p=detonators&id=0&c=8&d=1&v=v2
...because with all others, the "disable nVidia fog" just did not work:

Same picture with 53.04:
http://trodas.wz.cz/show.php?p=detonators&v=v2&d=1&id=6&c=8
...no, not work :(

I wish nVidia fix this finally
45.28 can't run on FX5700U - and has to be modded a little to even recognize my spare FX5600XT :(

The 40.71 where the best for me with my GF4 ti 4200.

click (http://huggybear.no-ip.com/born2oc/Drivers/) => All run with the same config/oc but a big difference. ;)

Try some of the new modded 76.xx drivers
The fastest I have found is the XG76.10HD's
you can get them at www.tweaksrus.com

Try the 28.32's. I have my MX/MX running 228/351, and with the 41.xx I got like 19xx, and with the 28.32's, I finally broke 2000. (reason for low score is because I have a P3 700 @ 800).

What about TNT2 M64 then? (not kidding, my psu killed my 9800PRO)
I want it to perform it's best in OpenGL (Q3)

Check the orb. It looks like most of them are using the 43.45,but I think the older ones would be better. Try the ones I have (28.32).

For these ancient GPUs the answer is simple - the older the better! :) but oddly enough, the top three places of the ORB are 66.93, 52.16 and 43.45.

For older cards older drivers usually mena better performance, as the newer ones are optimised for better performance on newer cards... Problems start appearing when you play newer games. In your case there are no problems, as Q3 and CS are prolly the only games you can play :)

Alright, maybe stupid bumping, but seeing this is a sticky, I will vote the 84.56's for whatever card that supports it. They were the ones to push my 6800LE (when I had it - before it died) above 5000 with my system you see in my rig (apart from PSU)

Wanted to say thumbs up for the 158.27 driver for xp. 7900gs seems to be working fine with it, and full screen video overlay is still available. now if only vista drivers supported fsvo as well

agreed. They need to do some pruning in all forums. We have a lot of useless stickies.
