I'm looking to add another single 120 rad into my loop and wondering which single 120 rad do you guys recommend? I'll sandwich this rad with two low speed yateloon in push-pull config. I narrow down to 3 that cost less than $50.

1)XSPC RX120 -$49
2)Blackice GTX120 -$49
3)Primochill Xtreme 120 - $24

Not sure why the Primochill so cheap but the construction appear to be decent, anybody have any experience with it? kinda remind me of the PA120.1, dimention 170x135x76mm....this thing is thick!

xspc low/mid cfm fans

any hwlabs has a high FPI which requires delta/san aces to get threw them which are noisy so get the XSPC and dont spend 30 dollars extra on feser!

eventhough the GTX120 has high FPI count but wouldn't running two low to medium speed fans in push pull config make up for the high speed/cfm fan requirement? :D

I saw the triple rad review where the GTX360 pull away from the RX360 at higher cfm/rpm, if I'm running only 1 low speed fan then yea no doubt I would go for the XSPC, but I'll have two fans in push/pull, wouldn't the GTX perform better in this regard?

I would get either the XSPC or PA120.1.

Whats wrong with that primochill rad he linked?

im scratching my head on why you guys are pushing a XSPC when that primochill looks pretty badass as the op stated.

Take a look at the rad once more guys b4 you pass judgement:

The primochill rad looks pretty good and it fairly thick and the price seems good. i don't have experience with any of the rads so i cant say.

You can get that Primochill radiator for $18 here (http://www.moddersmart.com/en/primochill-radiator-xtreme-series-120.html).

Seems like it would be worth a try at that price.

yea that Primochill looks like a beast and it's dual pass too, I wonder why nobody tested it, I recon it's a good candidate for high cfm fan, look how meaty it is comparing to the other two, it's 22mm thicker than the GTX! LOL

Primochill: 135x76.0x170mm (WxDxH)
RX120: 125x58.5x162mm (WxDxH)
GTX120: 133x54.0x157mm (WxDxH)

The only thing that puzzled me is the description of this thing:

The PrimoCHILLTM Radiator line offers absolute top cooling performance, excellent optics and processing. The parallel switched channels ensure an extremely low flow resistance. The radiators belong to the absolute high end heat transformer. Double-sided mounting of the fans is possible via the threads. A solid powder coating offers an optimal protection against external influence. Two G 1/4 threads allow versatile mounting options. The radiators are completely cleaned, and after the cleaning the connections are provided with sealing plugs!

not sure wtf do they mean by "excellent optics and processing", for a minute I thought they were advertising a point and shoot camera, optics?? processing?? and what are they going to transform heat into??

here's what i'm wondering, 1200rpm x2 > single 1800rpm?

You can't lump all HWlabs rads like that. The BIP and BIX can get away with using lower RPM fans than the GT series.

Looks like an older BIX type rad to me.

I would be very hesitant in ordering from that company. They use to go by the name Voyeurmods which filed for bankruptcy a few years back, closed up shop and turned around and popped right back up under the new name free of debt from what I understand. Voyeurmods had anything but a stellar customer service reputation.

God just look at the FPI on the primochill. Talk about needing strong fans.

the XSPC will perform great with even a single 120mm YL fan

I've ordered from them 4 times, 2 under old name and 2 under new, and no problems at all. The owner told me that they changed the name due to legal and advertising reasons (they couldn't do any advertising through adsense other than on :banana::banana::banana: sites?). I have no connections/loyalties to them, but where did you hear that they went bankrupt? First hand, or rumor?

I saw it posted in a forum somewhere within the last 3 weeks, wish I'd bookmarked it as I can't seen to find it now. With that being the case, I'll withdraw that part of my statement. As for the rest.

There are also a few topics here where ppl have voiced their displeasure with them. There is a Moddersmart rep here somewhere that has tried to wave the Good PR Wand to fix things but I'll stay steadfast in my distrust.

Is there a cheaper 120mm rad than $18 Primochill? Looking to pick up one or two singles to sandwich (stackable Swiftech are too expensive for the singles) for an upcoming m-atx build.

Too bad they dont make triple rads of those :p would really like to see a shootout of how well it fares

The 18$ was from the maybe bogus shop, 25 was a more "real" price

would a single 120 Rad be enough for a single GTX 295 to load under 60C? (with Heat Killer block and undecided pump)

I went with this koolance

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_457_200&products_id=25439

since it's the smallest of the single 120mm rads. I can probably fit the XSPC and the gtx as well, but not sure if I can do a push/pull fan set-up with the space I have to work with....and possibly I can with the koolance rad.

Not sure this will do a significantly better job of cooling an e8500 cpu then a Scythe Shuriken, but it should be interesting to try.
