Someone should do a system optomization checklist. Basically, if you were to do a fresh OS install, all the drivers to be installed, programs to be downloaded and things to get your system running in top shape... I know I downloaded the latest 4in1s, video card drivers, sound card drivers, network card drivers, winxp updates, and 3dmark. Oh, and I also installed a cable modem speed patch. I'm about to download Riva Tuner. What else should I do before I start overclocking?

I'm not sure what cable modem speed patch you're talking about, but most of those software style proggies are basically bullsh*t. Try reading this:

This will help talk you through how to manually set your system to be optimized for cable. Let me know if that software style proggie truly does work for you though, I'd be interested in trying it.
