I currently have an EVGA gtx 260 core 216 ssc 55nm graphics card (a bit of a mouthfull), and i was looking to pick up a waterblock for it. I was a little confused and curious about this and wanted to know what you guys thought.

This block by EK is listed as a g200b style, built specifically for the gtx 260 55nm

But this one by Heatkiller, is listed for the gtx 285, but also has the g200b style.. and i heard before that the gtx 285 blocks are compatable.. is this true?

I would much prefer the Heatkiller block, its less expensive and sooo sexy :D

thanks!

First I would like to say thanx for those switches. They are awsom-O! I think both these blocks look sexy that is for sure. I would check with HK and see if that block is compatible and be safe knowing your getting the right one. Nothing sucks more then ordering the wrong item and having to send it back and reordering.

This is for the EK-FC260 GTX, so just be aware. You probably already knew, but you never know.

The heatkiller looks nice, but the nickel plated ek with the acrylic top is simply stunning with the fluid running through it.

I like the EK one better myself as well.

The heatkiller one is 30$ less though, and i like the look of it a bit more :D

Yeah money does speak volumes as well. Not to mention it is the one you like so the decision is not exactly a hard one! Hopefully it fits though.

I asked the same question in another thread and couldn't get confirmation on the EK blocks. However, Dean did say that the Koolance GTX 275 block will fit the GTX 260 Core 216 cards.

Our GTX275 block also fits the newer GTX260 PCB where the picture says that no block would exist...

Where did I say that? I don't remember that discussion, and it seems like something I wold not expect so I definitely would've cross-checked it before I said that.

I'm pretty certain he got you confused with Shoggy who said the same thing here as he did in a GTX275 topic.

Whoops.

Waterlogged is right it was the Aqua Computer GTX 275 block that fits and not the Koolance. Sorry! Not sure how I got that mixed up.. ugh

You know that pic comes from EK, and he doesn't have a block for the newest revision of the GTX260 55nm pcb...

But for the TS: I can tell you that a block that fits the 285 will not fit the 260 55nm because of different vrm layout... I've had both cards ;)
