newbie question on socket 1366 <resolved>

Just want to confirm that it takes a bit of force on the lever to close the socket.

I had inserted the cpu correct but it takes a bit of force on the lever to close the socket, rite ? Just want to make sure.

Everything else looked fine to be and I was able to instead the heatsink (ex120).

I was so worry so I take off the HS and checked again.
Everything looks fine. :)

Yes it takes a decent amount of effort, definitely make sure the cpu is inserted correctly.

The lever will not touch the metal rest after the cpu is installed, rite ?

It will have spring tension against it as you slip it under the lock tang.

I mean the metal rest in the middle (not the lock tab).

Now the lever is not a straight line after the cpu is installed.

When closing the lever, you can hear the pins in the socket push to the cpu, rite ?
