has any 2.4c or 2.6c users tried this?
will it fix the 5:4 and 3:2 issue?

The divider issue was already fixed with the original bios, but yes. It works.

Bigtoe,

After flashing to this bios I cannot boot into windows. Where is the option to turn off the Silicon SATA controller? That thing causes me nothin but problems.

Tony

The SATA options are unchanged m8

Tried your 1.3 Bios......nb....ntb at all. :)

Now Stable at 238fsb so I finally popped the 57XX numbers on bandwidth.

Im using the OCZ Gold PC4000 in the guise of 2 x 256Mb as a matched pair.

No Matter which Bios I try, this memory will NOT do anything other than 1:1. Also, with the memory timings set to "By Spd", (3-8-4-4) I get MORE bandwidth than at 2.5-5-4-3

Wondeirng if you might agree these modules I have are not quite what they are "Specked" at!?

Also, why is the "Insert" key on a USB keyboard not functional to Clear Error beeps from incorrect settings.....when overclocked?

Speak to ya soon!

jmcease, u need to set the memory timing to a more relax value. and try avoid tRCD of 2 :)

É dont think so...mine with a lot of mods is stable only at 290 fsb
anything over 290 is unstable and have a lot of reboots...

First off thats a heavily loaded system for overclocking. You should build a file server, put all your raid arrays on it...DON'T overclock it and keep your files secure.Just run 1 drive on the overcloked rig and log on a domain to look after your emails and stuff.

Regards the ram m8 it differes board to board...i have IC7s here that will run async but friends won't with the same ram.

Has me baffled also:confused:

BigToe:

I have a Q for you...

With my Max3 I can't seem to get over 250FSB no matter what I try. I don't think it's the chip, b/c at 250FSB it's stable and fine on a stock vcore. Plus, this chip has seen 3.81 on an ASUS board. Do you have any idea why this is so? Any ideas you have will be gladly accepted and appreciated.

Here are my specs:

IC7-Max3
P4 2.8c
Kingston HyperX PC3200 (2x512MB)
120GB WD SATA HDD
9800XT Video Card
Water-Cooling Setup (keeps temps around 32C under load)

Thanks :D

Thing is Big Toe, The rig is built bog std 1 hd.

Then its benched & maxxed out & burned for several days.

Then I add other bits n bobs & keep going...as long as the wallet/System stabilty can afford.

Thing is, I aint ever had a PC die on me for overloading it with loadsa hard drives yet. In fact else where, I asked for help on me Fx5900. Nv Sentinal issues. Turns out my 120mm fan between H.D's and Graphics card was surging the supply to the whole PC.

We r rocking here with an OC'd PC that runs at least 8 hours a day Mon to Fri & pretty much 24/7 at the weekends. Its all in a LianLi PC75 case and not cards thrown together on a bench.

Hell it looks so damned sexy, it can jump into bed me anytime. ;)
At least it dont bleed every month or answer back! :D

What chips are these? A-Data PC4000??
I had the same problem, CAS3 performed better than CAS 2.5.
I think you should try CAS3-3-3-7 I think those were my good settings.

Anyway... The A-Data chips run up to 275 FSB on 1:1 divider! :D
and feed it with 3.2 it'll take you to 290!

I Know m8! I built an IC7-G rig with 2.4c 800fsb & 2 x 256Mb ADATA sticks. That fella was stable at 280fsb!:)

Sine yapping last BT, my PC developed a fault. Nv System Sentinal was telling me that I had a power fault on the Aux supply to me Fx5900.

Gunno take ure advise & build a Server. Cant believe my Enermax 550W has smoked itself after 14 months!

Some other guy I know into his PC's was telling me how much Hard drives "Batter" PSU's! I can see your logic in NOT O/C-ing this kind of set up!

Thanks for your advice!

Is this the latest and only modified bios for the IC7-Max3? I was also just wondering if I will be able to flash back to my old bios should this one not be any good?

Any BigToe modded BIOS out there for the IC7-G? I'm using the latest BIOS (19) now with my P4EE. Works fine, but I'm looking for more bandwidth.

Just flashed to the new bios. I don't see anything new besides spectrum spread and L1/L2 cache enable/disable. Am I missing something here? What else is new in this? Not hating on it just wondering what else is new.

Why dont you try it & find out! :stick:

Its memory timings are a bit swifter for me but random re-sets aint my idea of a stable bios! :(

As far as I know m8 & in a word;

"No"

However, I think Big Toe is looking into the matter so that 1 Bios would do IC7, IC7-G (MAX2) and the MAX3.

*Edit*

U need a Bios Editor bud but I aint sure which will suit this board. Aside from that, If u Disable the On Screen Logo, Your PC will be a few seconds quicker booting.
