really pops with the red posts:up:, are the posts stained with what color? what kinds of wood did you use, so far to me it looks like 3 different kinds.

No stain at all. That's what the wood looks like with a light wipe of Linseed oil. Posts are Purpleheart, Rails are Leopardwood (Brasilian Lacewood), Frame is Wenge and the Grid work and trays are Mahogany.

That looks amazing. I would so buy that for a htpc.

WoW that is some amazing craftsmanship. Don't really like the look but that's an point of taste.
Only the metal bar for the pci card mounting looks out of place.

As you do many of these, I know you have proper respiration, but purple heart can be very dangerous especially if you have an allergic reaction. Great craftsmanship, though I am not a fan of benches. I would love to see a HTPC in those woods though.

Oh I'm wheezing after this one. Despite having a box of dust masks I don't wear them all day. And sometimes I just start sanding away without one even though I know the risks. Plus the shop accumulates dust and I do try to keep it down..but there is always dust.

IMO Mahogany is the worst. Light and fluffy it gets airborne easily and when I was working nothing but Mahogany all day I'd leave a red print on the bed sheets...after having showered...the stuff was in my blood :D

Recently I did a longer project with some Anigris and it's not good either...in nature the more beautiful it is the more likely it'll kill you:yepp:

Beautiful, CyberDruid!!! Please do be careful. I know who I'm going to contact if I ever get around to doing a case in wood (thinking of a bamboo/tropical theme ...).

I tried to locate some Ebony but it's like buying a bar of gold. You can find economically priced resawn pieces ideal for fretboards and even smaller pieces for knife scales and pen blanks but if you want a piece of lumber it's astrobucks and most of it is unusable (checks, sapwood) since they already sliced off everything worth selling. You can what the call Mexican Ebony which is lighter and has a lot more sapwood running through it which can be just part of the feature...

Some Rosewood is fun to look at. I've got one medium piece left to gnaw on. An 8" section had the most amazing range of colors streaked through it...so I made a jewelry box for the woman :D

I think my next tech frame will be more modular, less joinery and incorporate more metal and some acrylic.
