Good Morning one and all:) I seem to have a bit of a dilemma  It appears that the 5mm Led Lights that I ordered from Performance PCS ..these......http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=107&products_id=21661&zenid=855c0ebfaa992ac7f682ee7d7ef747ec apparently they will only work in the HDD LED & PWR LED pin Headers on the Mobo. My question is this how do you run Say 4 of these with only two different Header to work with? Any of you Bright sparkers out there have some form of bypass for this dilemma?

Don't have a work around for those, but these are what I use:

The longer one is from Bitspower, the shorter one is Feser. They come in quite a few colors, and use molex connectors.

how many LEDs are on the line?

well you can work them with the molex connectors as shazza shows but you have to have the proper resistors in line for that... the following site shows you how to line em up you just have to give it the voltage and the specs on the LEDs http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz hope i helped i have a decent amount of LED work under my belt so if you have any question shoot me a PM ill get back to you asap

Sorry I see you have four and I assume each has its own wire. If you really want to power off the headers, then you need to splice them in parallel.

Frozen cpu leds work off the motherboard (3v I believe)

Thats what I was thinking:)

I would wire them into a harness...

You would need two lines of two in parallel with 216 ohm resistors to run them off 12v

You think two spice in Parallel on one of the Mobo header will smoke it?

Truthfully I don't know what those headers are rated at. I'd assume your LEDs draw between .025 and .03 amps and each wire would be drawing .05 to .06 amps.

If the LEDs are 3 volt each you'd need 4 in series. You could probably run 5 and still have them all produce a fair amount of light. You could wire them to a 3-pin header (like fan's use).
