Hello folks. I need to get some material that is good for collecting dust and still puts enough air through. So a fan filter :D

I have been looking around a bit. But I can't seem to find any places that sell these materials as a raw product.

I want something that is washable and durable.

I know lian li uses a material that almost looks like the net you have to keep the mosquitoes out. I'm not sure but it looks like some kind of nylon. If someone with a lian li chassis could check it out i would be appreciated.

Pantyhose brother, comes in many colors & is cheap. Use a hot glue gun to affix. easy to remove then & all you need is a dab more hot glue again. ;)

How does it go for airflow?

I brought a metal filter:

And it restricts a fair bit, i can hear the fan note changing and flow slowing when i have it installed. It does catch the dust pretty well...

Pantyhose better or worse?

Doesnt restrict much at all. I do notice the noise change a bit, but not much at all.

I need something more durable i think. I will be making a removable dust filter for rads. Like the one on the picture. I want to be able to take it out and clean it under water and then just put it back with a simple slide.

Otherwise pantyhose could be a option.

yea just ask your boyfriend if you can have his old hose. They work the best. And are a really good trade off for dust collection vs restriction of air flow.

"No-See-Um" mosquito net. I paid $18 and change + shipping for 5 yards of 54" wide netting.
