leaktek ti4200.... i was stuck at 12800's..... couldnt run the tbred at over 1960mhz at 1.85vcc. im gonna see how far another 5 fsb and 100mhz gets me :)

i know this isnt a huge score but im still a complete noob at this. all tweaks were riva tuner... tried win2k but the score didnt change... tried some reg tweaks but got the same result or my score lowered.

I've been chasing 13k for quite a while now w/a Ti4600 and I just can't figure out why I can't hit it.

12,800 is where I seem to plateau.

I followed the Icee Riva Tuner settings guide.

Might have something to do with my PNY card unable to finish a run at anything higher than 320/740.

this was a big deal for me.... one because you dont ever tell me i cant do something... i will keep trying till im 200% sure its undo'able. after i bought the leadtek from newegg a friend told me it wouldnt do much because it was an oem..... guess i proved him wrong :) its this card....

i used stock cooling for the gpu and no ramsinks.... best i could clock was 325/625... i clocked any higher on either and it froze. im putting ramsinks on today.... i touched the mem while i was benching and they were very warm :)

using win2k.... got a major jump from just ditching winxp. new clock speed too 330/625... even with ramsinks the mem wont run higher

attach an 80 or 92mm fan to the ramsinks blowing over back of card perhaps?

I have an 80mm delta screwed into the ramsinks on the back of my radeon, pulling air away from the back of the card... found my mem would go 8-10mhz higher... don't know if same'll apply to a gf4 tho...

its still stock cooling but i took the side of the case off and have a 92mm fan blowing across the cards back..... allowed me to clock from 325/625 to 335/625.... still cant up the ddr timing at all. my scores are getting lower now .... ran scan disk, defrag but i cant get 13330 again so i think im gonna reformat, reset everything and step back up to the plate :)

I don't have an 8KHA+, but. Get some Thermaltake ram sinks on the Crucial, Use thermal compound (normal white stuff and not too much on there) instead of of the termal tape they provide.
Up the volts and you just may get in excess of 180 with aggressive timings. Also try turning off L2 ECC checking. May let you run the ram at a higher fsb as well.

I think the best bios was 8KHI2314.bin. Allowed a high fsb with no instabilities.

Just some things I had found before.

Hope this can help you get a little more life out of that board and ram....

my tbred showed up as "unkown" on the kx7 (shows up as a duron on the 8k3a).... to see where i am you have to search all cpu's.... im in 9th place overall.

im taking a break :)
