I installed winXP onto a primary active partition of my 120gb drive (master on IDE2 at the time). because it refused to boot off of the CD, and i dont have a floppy drive, i had to install it off another winXP install, which was my 30gb drive (IDE1 master at the time). so now its set to "dual boot" with the new install (120gb drive) being the default OS.

i want to yank out my 30gb drive altogether, and have the 120gb one as IDE1 master and the only harddrive in the system. when i try that, it gives me an error. i modified the boot.ini file on it to be the same as default windows boot.ini; and it still gives me "NTLDR missing".

what are all the necessary steps to to untie my new winXP install from the old one?

thanks.

I been trying to learn Vmods better, so I can do them more myself instead of having friends do them (like you)
while I find Motherboard mods, to be very easy...
videocards are another story all together :(

I have 2 dead ATI 8500's here, and a MX440 that can barely qualify as "working", so that kinda sucks.
but you gotta learn sometime right?

did you get the Dual Booting issue fixed?
