View Full Version : MCRES Rev1 with Bitspower G1/4 Fittings?

I've got a Rev1 Swiftech MCRES reservior, and really hate the huge plastic fittings that were included with it. The threads seem to be compatible with the Bitspower FatBoy fittings that I have on hand, but it looks like Swiftech released the rev2 res specifically for the use of G1/4 barbs. Has anyone run G1/4 barbs on the original rev of the MCRES without leaks?

Yes, running with fatboys right now, never had an issue.

I do now, they fit fine on the V1.
Lower left is a MCRes V1 with fatboys.

I think what Swiftech meant is that in rev. 2 the fill port is G1/4 [unlike in rev.1 which used some more "exotic" size].

as above or it could just be that they naver stated the spec in the orginal so whent he new one came out they made it obvious.

Excellent! I can finally make use of this res without dealing with the Mickey Mouse barbs that came with it.

Actually, the dimensions are clearly stated on Swiftechs site.

Set it up out of the case with the fatboys last night. Looks good so far! No leaks in the 2 hours or so that it was running.
