Hi,

I'm getting a Core i7 920 and a GTX 295 (both overclocked).

Will a Thermochill PA120.3 (with three 50CFM fans running at 12v and mounted externally using the steel Radbox) and the MCP 655 pump be good enough to cool these?

Thanks!

You'd probably do better with a 120.3 for the CPU and a 120.2 on the GPU, as both of them put out tons of heat.

Well I am running my i7-920 OCed to 4.1GHz 1.3v with a Swiftech GTZ and a BlackIce GTX240 radiator fans at 78CFM with no problems on heat. My temps never go above 55c on full loads and I am using Feser One Fluid as well. I would add another radiator to the mix if you add the GTX295 to your loop.

Do you mean have two entirely seperate cooling loops?

One rad for the CPU, One rad for the GPU
One pump for the CPU, one pump for the GPU? etc

How would I mount two rads on a Lian-Li PC-P80 case?

Thanks.

As I have a limited amount of money to spend on watercooling and I don't want to mod my P80 (and I'm new to watercooling so installing one loop would be a learning curve for me :) ), do you think using a quad radiator would be ok with a single loop for both the i7 and the GTX295?

I was hoping that with it being mounted externally on a steel radbox, it would help my temps just bit.

I really appreciate any advice anyone can give. :)

That is exactly what I plan to do, a quad rad on a 295 and an i7 system. As long as you put some high CFM fans on a GTX480 or you get a quad feser with lower CFM fans you will be fine. Later on you can gain the benefits of picking up a second pump and another rad and adding that to the loop but the quad rad should do you well!

Hehe, so what about a Feser rad with high CFM fans? Is that like the best you can get?

Also, which rad have you gone for?

Are you using two pumps on your single loop?

Im going for the Hardware Labs GTX 480 because it performs better with fans above 1800RPMs, if you want fans BELOW 1800 RPMs the feser performs better.....It has to do with the amount of fins the radiator has per inch, since the GTX 480 has more fins it passes more heat along as long as you have fans that can get enough air through it. I'm only going to be using one MCP 355 with a res top for now but as soon as I get my GTX 295 waterblock ill be upgrading to two 355s and possibly a GTX 240 or 360.

Ok you've lost me. I thought you were only using one quad radiator for your GTX 295 and i7?

Are you now saying you're going to get two radiators?

How come you're using a 355 pump instead of a 655 pump as well?

A 355 pump with an aftermarket XSPC top is a better pump than the 655 Vario. Higher flow and head pressure.

Some people prefer reliability over flow/pressure.

Hmmm, but doesn't the MCP655 deliver 1500 L/h as opposed to this which only delivers 600 L/h?

I'm a bit confused as to what a "top" is and how it helps :s
