Does UV Coolant/Dye Leave Stain/Residue/Gunk in Watercooling Loops?
I've been thinking about using Feser One Cooling Liquid or PrimoChill Non-Conductive Coolant for a while now. I haven't used watercooling before.
I've seen both sides of the story posted on XS.
1. I've used x brand coolant, and never have had an issue so far.
2. I've used x brand coolant, and it has stained, left residue and or gunk in my waterblocks/tubing/pump/radiator.
I've also seen a point being made that the cause of the staining, residue and gunk in loops is from the mixture of biocides, corrosion inhibitors and anti-freeze together and/or with UV coolants, in which certain chemical reactions occur.
From what I've been told by experienced watercooling guys, PT Nuke + distilled water is the best, and is probably what I will end up doing.
