Wanted to make a poll to see which look XS watercooling users prefer.

Any opinions on either?

delrin is more reliable and goes well with all the black builds going round atm

i use derlin just becoz of usability, but acryllic would look more interesting

Delrin for cpu and northbridge, plexi and nickel for gpu.

Only for look.

clear plexi... i like to see what's happening in there...
until it breaks and floods everything :p:
then i'd swear it off and vote for delrin

I really like the look of clear plexi, expecially combined with nickle plated blocks and colored liquid.
BUT, I don't trust plexi and I never use color additives, so it's [x] Delrin Acetal for me.

Kind of contradictory, huh? :p:

I always go with plexi (no problems)

If you are already on the fence about which to get... get the acetal top. The only people that should get the Plexi top are those that demand the look of a clear top.

Rumour is, the plexi is too brittle, and will eventually crack right around the barb, typically on the inlet side, and cause leaks.

I prefer the Plexi look (and i think the poll is for that - looks) so i voted for it, but like most users here, i'd trust Delrin over Plexi.

I'd like to vote for both. They both have their pros/cons and depending on the application I could go either way.

If I could spare cash to replace anything that goes wrong then I would risk it with Plexi but right now acetal is the only way I'd go.

What about an X58 on a murdermod type build in a TJ07?

Plexi or Acetal?

acetal to mach the black casing..

has anyone ever had a plexi top break up them yet? .. i honestly think it's just over hyped fears in this case, unless someone proves me wrong.

I dont know what type of material exactly was used in my old, very old water block for socket A and socket 939, but it was some type of plexiglas, looked good, clear look, but after longer use it cracked and water leaked all over the board, lost my DFI nF4 board

So its bad experience for me and no more any acrylic waterheads for shure, just metal or derlin, ordered EK Supreme LT with acetal top :)

Here how damaged block looked:

I had my gpu water block with a plexi top crack just like Kashelz's did. Delrin only for me from now on.

Could you add an option for no cheap aluminum ? (I know the water doesn't run through it)

I voted for Delrin. Has it occurred to anyone that after the loop bleeds, you can't actually see the coolant moving? ;)

The poll is for which choice in top material, not MOSFET cooling. :p:

Vote delrin because I broke plexi before. Delrin holds up much better and I prefer to be safe then sorry. Besides black goes with everything and any kind of build.
