Need help with linksys router (newbie ?)

I can't get online when i plug in my router.

heres the setup.

dsl modem to router to my pc.

My dsl is PPPoE and i go to 192.168.1.1 and set my router up as PPPoE with the correct login name and password, set it to keep alive, and hit connect from the router and i get error 678. Same thing as if i try to connect from connections.

But if i unplug my router and go modem to pc it connects.

The wierd thing is that it worked just fine for about 3 days stayed connected the whole time, then 1 day it wount connect rhough the router anymore. What am i missing here?

Try plugging everything back up in proper sequence using the router, then unplug the modem and router, then plug them back in, modem first and then the router. You might need to clear the router and reset it back up with your user name and password.

or you may have to delete the first dsl profile on winxp.
