One of the best games ever made!

I heard the new DC will be out Nov. 7th.

Any word on whether or not this patch changes the SafeDisk protection? I'm using DaemonTools virtual CD/protection emulation here to avoid normal wear & tear on the original CD and it would be a pain to update daemontools at this time.

Tried it anyway. Works fine for me, DaemonTools 3.41 with all emulations enabled. Used CloneCD to image the original CD to HD.

Shame that the new map is only multiplayer but looks like it will be a good map, with the possibility for long campaigns (which I like in bf1942).

alright, well ive had the game from quiet awhile ago and everything was running smoothly, but then my hard drive crapped out so i rma'd it and reinstalled xp. now i just got around to reinstalling bf, but it would even start. i would get the start-up screen, and the monitor would flicker like when its changing resolutions, and then goes to my desktop. no error message, just morpheus' voice asking "Do you want to know... what... it... is?" i updated to v1.5, same thing.

WTF!!!

hehe, i hacked my monitor drivers to not allow low refresh rates such as 60hz. set the config file in bf to allow all refresh rates and now im up and running.

headshots... here i come
