View Full Version : Suprisingly decent cheap fans for rad?

They are the same as the stock fans that came with my CM690. At first i completely overlooked them as an option until I looked at the stats. 44CFM, 19dba. They seem to move the rated air and are completely silent, and you get 4 for $13. Has anyone else used these on their rads? I have 3 on mine and they seem pretty good. I have yet to assemble my full rig (just CPU atm) but I am going for a silent build and I am thinking I may just stick with these bad boys! Unless once assembled the fans dont work as well as I think. I will be throwing on at least a 4870, perhaps full mobo chipsets too.

True enough, if I had no fans at the moment I would go with the YL's, I may still grab some. I just noticed that those are surprisingly good and they come in a 4 pack so you only pay shipping once. Curious if anyone else noticed them before.

YL are definitely worth what little you pay for them. The YL from Petras seem to be better based on testing posted here on XS vs. YL from other vendors.

They made a new factory for Petra's Yate's and it's run by rocketscientists.

Just stating the results of testing. I don't know if this is true today but I buy from Petras just in case. ;)

I agree, Petra's have newer models of the Yates. It's worth the extra few bucks imho.
