View Full Version : Need some shroud specs

I'm going to build a shroud from plexi for 4 120mm fans in a push/pull for my heatercore. I need to know how far to place the fans from the surface of the heatercore fins? So far it looks like a box with the core inside of it and fans on front and back. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions? Thanks ;)

I would give it about two inches. The main purpose is to eliminate the "fan hub effect."
Quite frankly, the best shroud I've ever seen yet was one that I made with a motherboard box and duct tape, lol :D.

So 2 inches in front and 2 in back should be about right then?
