OK, here is my setup but my temps seem a little high. Underload from converting several videos to m4v format (~99% load on all cores) my temps are about 60C on all cores.

I have the following:
Core i7 920 @ 3.8GHz w/ 1.400V
Laing D5 Vario Pump set at 5
Thermochill PA 120.3
EK Supreme Waterblock w/ custom backplate
6 Medium Speed Yates in Push/Pull
Mountain Mods Resorvoir (holds a lot of water)

PS, can someone tell me what the correct mount (i.e. orientation) for the EK Supreme on the Rampage II Extreme.

Don't know, man. Seems about right to me.

HT enabled?

yes, HT is enabled. Wow, if that I normal no one better be overclocking on the stock cooler. This thing puts out some heat.

That's the core i7 for you. You'll probably drop a few degrees if you disable HT. Core i7's run hot, but they can sustain higher temperatures and maintain stability better than their predecessors.

id think its a little high?..i mean i just have a kents..but at 3.8ghz 1.6volts in bios 1.52 under load does about 55-58c with a swiftech mcr320 rad 3 med speed scythes 3/8 tubing mcp655 pump...idk if thats a good comparison but trying to be helpful hehe

Totally different animals. It's like comparing a 8800GTX to a 4870

yea..id think that him having 45nm lower voltage better WC setup..should have lower temps? thats what i was referring to. i guess thats not the case?

Temps look about right to me. I'm seeing 55-56 at 3.8 with HT on, @ 1.3V. (On the EVGA X58 + GTZ, PA120.3).

1.4 vcore - there's your problem. I ran 4ghz progressively from 1.4 to 1.31vcore and shaved off roughly 12C-15C under load with the same cooling setup. Did you try reducing vcore?
