I was wondering if anyone had any idea's or suggestions for little tips and pointers as to how I can get better scores.

Will tightening the timings on my RAM help. or should I leave em at 5-5-5-15 and overclock it past 1100? Should I change the PCI-E voltage from 100 to 102 or anything?

I'm just wondering what little things I can do to help my scores?? If anyone has some suggestions and idea's for me, please feel free to share them.

Thanks!

disable/quit all unused processes and services.

Minor gains from ram timings, but yes, there will be gains.

Disable onboard sound, and all other onboard stuff except for what's needed for testing.

Install XP using n-lite, to get the smallest install possible.

Run a ramdisk.

yea, I could disable my X-Fi card during those runs huh.. I didn't end that process.. but I guess I should have.

So should I OC the RAM, or tighten the timings? or try for both.

I'll pass on installing XP. (I know I should though, scores are better. but it's ok)

Ramdisk?

Yeah, ramdisk...if you have enough ram. Google is your friend...not good for real-life usage, but good for points.

Check out Tony's config in Vista for SSD's as well, on the OCZ website.

Clock everything...everything...as high as possible.

Run the 2dm process in realtime priority, it gave me a little bit of a boost. Run your desktop resolution 1280x1024, snoop around in rivatuner or ccc and see what you can play with.

. Run your desktop resolution 1280x1024,

What that should say is run the desktop resolution in the native resolution of the benchmark. I.e. 1280x1024 for 3dm06, 3dm vantage or 1024x768 for 01,03,05,AM3

You can do this thing called Overclocking, I tried it a few times and it brought up my score ALOT!

Does running your desktop at the native resolution of the benchmark actually help? I've never tried it, maybe I should and post my results.

I just tried the native resolution tactic and mine weren't any better.

I've thought about it for games before and all it does is give me faster alt-tab times. But I never noticed an increase in fps.
