Since its release, Apple iTunes has offered songs for $0.99 -- and has done well, becoming the top online music retailer in the United States -- but will drop DRM for at least 8 million songs. The price tier will change from a single $0.99 to $0.69, $0.99, or $1.29 per music track.

Apple kicked off the event by announcing a new 17" MacBook Pro, which was promoted as the "world's thinnest 17" notebook," as it's just 0.98 inches thick and weighs only 6.6 pounds. The notebook promises 1920 x 1200 resolution and a new battery technology that is able to increase battery life to about eight hours during a single battery charge.

sure they charge a premium as it's the first led backlight 17" lappy and 50% lighter than any other 17" with this res and has no competition (with the same features)

but i agree on the quality, apples quality is inconsistent, some products are almost flawless and others have alot of issues...
