Do you have any pics of the bases inside design? I like the fact that you made use of copper tubing for the inlet/outlets.

Make sure to lap the base well to have the best contact, and no oxide that could hinder the thermal transfer

I must be getting tired to spell it like that;) I`m lapping the base at the moment.... The inside design is just as simple as it could be. I will post paint pic showing the design in a minute.

I`m going to paint it black after Its a bit more ready :D I`m also using that same design on my GPU block, but the outlets are going to be on the side and not on the top. I`ll post some more pics when its in action...

Here it finaly is painted and ready to roll:D
All it needs now is some final lapping of the bottom.

And heres my GPU block. Its ugly as hell and the most flow restrictive of my system but after I burned my power drill in making it I had to finalize the routing with a freking Dremell!
It still needs massive lapping;) and paint but at least it dont leak no more! I had to solder it four times before it was totally waterproof...

Respect hatemi dude!
Great piece of DIY.
Can't wait to see some action temps :)

I will put my system up and running tomorrow. For now with only my cpu block, thats made similarily as my others, in the loop my idle temps are 33c-35c and after about an hour of prime the temps are about 50c-55c. I dont trust the temp sensor on this board thogh cos sometimes MBM5 shows temps like 65c for a short period and then drops to like 45c.
I use a -89 Toyota Corolla heatercore and just one Papst 120mm 55cfm fan set at ~6V asnd my system is pretty silent( at least after I get the GPU block in action).

you know you could make ut look awsome if you just gritted it allot :) but aslong as the base plate is fine it really dosen't mather for its cooling abilities that is.

Now I have some pics...Its still not exactly what I had in my mind cos the store didnt have the right tubes in stock so there is still meny 90 degree bends:( Any ideas about what tubes should I get that are flexible enough and wont knik?

My nerves are totaly wrecked cos I didnt want to kill my GPU or my MB... I think Ill also make the fastenings a bit better cos I dont actually trust zipties;)

And hares the tools I used...

hatemi

And this is how I soldered them. Total DIY;)

Yes thats all you need! Everyone has got a stove at home and its more than enough for soldering;) I`ve made five blocks with it so I know...

This electric plates get quite hot...

hatemi, it looks fab, your routing is very clear and the whole thing looks sweet!

I know what mean by wrecked nerves...
I managed to drop some liquified solder into my P4 socket... while doing volt mod.... Thought I killed it but ... so far so good - lump of highly conductive solder sloshing around inside socket but, hey, IT'S ALIVE!

Gald its still working:)
How tight can I tighten the GPU block before it says CRUSH? I will definantly need some 3mm wing nuts to make it easier to tighten the gpu block cos now its real pain! And maeby Ill get some 15mm ID tubes so I can make the loop without the elbows.

Sweet work man :)

I use the hob on the cooker as well, but i have our old cooker, with the spiral rings on it, and they get red hot :O

A lot easier than the blowtorch method imo :)
