Honestly, it isn't that suprising, it's an attempt to hit slightly more of the market, adding 775 mounting hardware support does make sense, less spending on new parts

The same reason you get 10 hotdogs and only 8 buns in a package. Corparate marketing :)

They wanted to sell all the new 1366 hardware.

getting copied is a compliment i guess, but somebody making money and getting credits for your ideas is kinda annoying :P
most of the ideas shamino came up with here at foxconn are already copied by asus, if i were him id be pretty annoyed about that...
they even copied the quantum force logo in their latest ad... :lol:

I wouldn't say Asus copied anything, Asus has always listened to what the customer wanted and they most likely had enough requests for it so the implemented into their boards.
