Cingular Smart Phone: Guide me

My g/f wants a new phone, but isn't sure what to get.

She's been looking at the samsung eternity and the LG vu sp. She doesn't want the iphone. She wants a touch screen, so stuff like the BJ2 is out.

I haven't been keeping up with touch phones, so I don't really know what to tell her. What phones would you guys recommend?

-Any IM service she wants

-She doesn't need to know anymore, my list is so nerdy that it would go on forever.

If she can wait, there are going to be a bunch of smart phones coming out in a couple months (mainly Nokia N97 and Nvidia Tegra).
3lfk1ng: Does that have Wifi? My brother got a new phone recently and decided on the Quickfire, which is a little big for me and doesn't have wifi. I tried to talk him into this, but he thought it looked too "business like".

That fuze looks sweet...

TBH i used a pink (yes pink) razor for the last 6 months.... looks and features are sweet, and i love this BB i got for xmas... but a phone is still just a phone for most people... even though i feel like this new BB is a second penis.

Verizon only seems to want to work w/ RIM. They rejected the iphone which was a stupid on there part.

So I was taking a look at phones myself as my BJ2 just sucks.

The fuze is VERY nice. I see why everyone likes it.

I also did a lot of research on the touch HD as well which seems to be a fuze/diamond on steroids. I got conflicting reports that it will / won't work in the US.

Also, the keyboard reportedly won't change orientation for emails when you flip horizontally.


3lfk1ng, do you have that issue with the phone? How's typing on the screen or do you primarily use the keyboard?
